The Lantern Festival (to be held Nov. 10 at the Texas Motorplex) is a unique event, so we’ll let the event producers describe it in their own words:
“Our mission is to illuminate the human spirit — bringing family and friends together through one incredible vista. Before sundown, friends and families enjoy food, live music, a stage show, princesses, face painting, s’mores, balloon artists, and more. Then, when the time is just right, we will light the night sky with our highest hopes and fondest dreams.”
The Texas State Fair
The Texas State Fair is famous the world over, and it’s coming up soon — Big Tex is in town Sep. 28-Oct. 21 at the State Fairgrounds.
Autumn brings back college football — the Red River Battle between Texas and Oklahoma keeps many people throughout the region looking forward to the fall season each year.
